Vitamins For Acne

The RDA for zinc is about 11 milligrams per day for adult men and 8 milligrams for women but the Lasky Study recommends 50 mg of zinc in combination with 5 mg of copper. Copper is supplements because it can become deficient during zinc supplementation. You should be careful in taking zinc supplements because too much of zinc can be potentially harmful to your body. Talk to your doctor and do your own specific research. As with any recommendations does your due diligence BEFORE you start any supplementation.
Chromium is next in our list of vitamins for acne. Like zinc chromium is actually a mineral not vitamin. The Lasky Study is not the first report that I’ve seen recommending chromium for acne. It’s been stated that the majority of people with acne don’t consume enough of it. Supposedly excessive sugar level in blood causes more sebum to be produced which leads to acne. Chromium has been shown to control the level of sugar in the blood. Perhaps that’s why it’s recommended to dieters so often too. Good food sources are broccoli, grape juice, english muffins, potatoes, orange juice, turkey, whole wheat bread, red wine, apples and bananas.
I don’t know about you but the thought of trying to figure out what supplements I’m (or my teens are) lacking is mind boggling. I try to find proven solutions that have been used successfully without trouble. There is a book that comes highly recommended by hordes of people who have or had acne that covers vitamins for acne called Acne No More. It has a satisfaction guarantee so if it doesn’t help you out you can get your money back. But who knows it may be exactly what you need to find the perfect recipe to get rid of your acne.
